Welcome to the Good News Ministries of Seattle Website!

Good News Ministries of Seattle is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to assisting all of the baptized in waking up to and then responding to our baptismal calling. This response is to be reflected in our daring to live and to speak (through grace) the radical gospel message of our Lord Jesus in our day and age.

We conduct parish missions and retreats anywhere in the world when requested to do so, and our main thrust is to help Catholics (and all Christians) to begin asking the right questions, because until we do, our Lord Jesus will never be able to begin giving us the right answers through the power of the Spirit.

Pope John Paul II has made it clear that evangelization underlies all activities of the parish. Each parish is an effective instrument of evangelization. Catholics need to be evangelized! We the baptized constitute the Church. Pope Paul VI asserted that the presentation of the Gospel message in word and deed is not an optional contribution for the Church...it is the duty incumbent on us by the command of the Lord Jesus...it is a question of people's salvation.

The task of evangelizing constitutes the essential mission of the Church. Evangelizing is in fact the grace and vocation proper to the Church. She exists in order to evangelize. Jesus did not tell us to go create buildings, churches, schools, meetings and activities. He said to: "Go and make disciples...baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. "This is what Good News Ministries is all about.
